A Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) is a research visit of an individual researcher to an institution in another country, to foster collaboration or to learn a new technique. COST Action IC1205 on Computational Social Choice will support several such STSM's each year by means of travel grants. These travel grants are particularly, but not exclusively, intended for "early-stage" researchers (PhD students and people within at most eight years of receiving their PhD). We specifically encourage female researchers to apply.
Deadlines are announced on the COMSOC mailing list. The final deadline has been on 5 August 2016.
Applications will be assessed by the STSM Committee, consisting of Britta Dorn (Tübingen, chair), Piotr Faliszewski (Kraków), Vangelis Markakis (Athens) and Joana Pais (Lisbon), on behalf of the Management Committee of COST Action IC1205. Please direct all questions to Britta Dorn at britta.dorn(at)uni-tuebingen.de.
In this section of the website you can find detailed guidelines on how to apply for an STSM and how to report on your research visit if you have been awarded a travel grant. Here you can also find the list of reports of past research visits.
