The Action organised its final Summer School on Computational Social Choice at the Miramar Palace in San Sebastián on 18-22 July 2016. The organisers were Annick Laruelle, Elena Iñarra, Jérôme Lang, and Ulle Endriss.
This summer school provided an in-depth introduction to computational social choice, covering the topic from the perspectives of economics, mathematics, and computer science. Tutorials were delivered by Katarína Cechlárová (Košice), Edith Elkind (Oxford), Umberto Grandi (Toulouse), Nicolas Maudet (Paris), Reshef Meir (Technion), Friedrich Pukelsheim (Augsburg), and William S. Zwicker (Union College). The school was attended by 56 trainees, 34 of which contributed to the poster session (most of the posters are available here). The award for the best poster was shared by Ágnes Cseh (Reykjavík), Anne-Marie George (Cork), and Ronald de Haan (Vienna). The anonymised election data generated during the poster competition is available at PrefLib for research purposes.
