Truth be Told, a Workshop on Philosophical and Formal Theories of Truth, is organised by the Department of Philosophy and the Institute for Logic, Language, and Computation of the Universiteit van Amsterdam. The workshop will be held between Wednesday the 23rd and Friday the 25th of March 2011. The aim of the workshop is to bring together experts in the field in order to assess the current state of the art of theories of truth, as well as to facilitate discussion between philosophers of truth and those more interested in formal methods and results in the study of truth. The workshop will contain 11 invited and 5 contributed talks. Invited talks will be followed by short commentaries. The Call for Papers and Commentators is closed. Title: Property Theory and the Foundations of Mathematics Registration for the workshop is not required for attending the Beth Lecture. The workshop will take place in the historical Doelenzaal of the University Library. You can download a copy of the workshop booklet here (1.0 MB). Printed copies will be available during the workshop.
