We shall keep you informed via the ESSLLI newsletter about
the developments in the preparation of ESSLLI 2008. The
newsletters will be sent out at least once a month, and

DEADLINE FOR ASL STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS. ESSLLI 2008 is an
ASL-sponsored event. As a consequence, all student
participants who are members of the Association for Symbolic
Logic can apply for a modest travel grant. The application
deadline is this Monday, 5 May 2008. For more information,

EARLY REGISTRATION CLOSED. This morning, we closed early
registration for ESSLLI 2008, and are pleased to report
that our summer school in Hamburg will become a big event
with many participants and lots of research interaction.
Including the lecturers, organizers, and invited workshop
speakers, we already now count well over 350 participants,
and more are to be expected in the coming weeks. Registration
will stay open at the late registration rate until early
July 2008. If you are not yet registered, you can do so at

STUDENT ACCOMMODATION. Due to the large number of
registrants, a number of options for the student accommodation
are already completely booked. There are still lots of beds
in the two youth hostels at Stintfang and Horner Rennbahn.
The Youth Hostel "Auf dem Stintfang" typically gets good
reviews and is beautifully located. Check out the Lonely

PRELIMINARY PROGRAMMES OF WORKSHOPS. The first half of the
