Dear subscribers of the ESSLLI newsletter:

We shall keep you informed via the ESSLLI newsletter about
the developments in the preparation of ESSLLI 2008. The
newsletters will be sent out at least once a month, and
more often as ESSLLI 2008 approaches. For further

EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE. The early registration 
deadline is

                  Thursday, 1 May 2008

If you register and pay before or on that day, you will 
be able to register at the early registration rate (324 
EUR for students and 399 EUR for non-students). 
Registration after that date will be 100 EUR more expensive, 
so this should be an incentive for using the remaining 
thirteen days to register at

Please note that registration is only complete in 
combination with payment. When you register, you have to 
enter your data on a first page, then you confirm your 
data and proceed to the payment page where you have to pay 
IMMEDIATELY to finalize your registration. You cannot 
interrupt this procedure and pay later -- an interrupted 
registration will be deleted and does not count as 
registration. Therefore, please make sure that you have 
either your credit card or your paypal account data ready 
before you start filling in the registration data.

WORKSHOPS. The deadline for submission of papers has now 
passed for all of the ESSLLI workshops and we heard from 
the workshop organizers that many of them attracted 
interesting papers. Unfortunately, two workshops had to 
be cancelled. [In one case, you heard about this via this 
mailing list. We would like to take this opportunity to 
apologize to all of you for this mishap -- we were not 
aware that the newsletter mailing list allowed everyone 
to post, and we immediately closed it down. You will 
now only receive ESSLLI Newsletters via this list.] With 
now eight workshops, there are no schedule overlaps 
between workshops anymore. Please find a list at

ASL STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS. Those among you who are 
members of the Association for Symbolic Logic (or wish to 
become members) can apply for student travel funding with 
the ASL. The deadline for this is

                    Monday, 5 MAY 2008
