15th Amsterdam Colloquium



The Fifteenth Amsterdam Colloquium will be held December 19 - 21 at the University of Amsterdam. The Amsterdam Colloquia aim at bringing together linguists, philosophers, logicians and computer scientists who share an interest in the formal study of the semantics and pragmatics of natural and formal languages. The spectrum of topics covered ranges from descriptive (syntactic and semantic analyses of all kinds of expressions) to theoretical (logical and computational properties of semantic theories, philosophical foundations, evolution and learning of language).

Program

The program of the Fifteenth Amsterdam Colloquium consists of:

  • the General Program which includes invited lectures by: and 30 contributed papers
  • the 2005 Vienna Circle evening lecture by:
  • Workshop on Language and Learning, organized by Pieter Adriaans, Robert van Rooij and Khalil Sima'an;

Organization

The Amsterdam Colloquia are oganized by the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) of the University of Amsterdam. The organizing committee of the Fifteenth Amsterdam Colloquium consists of Paul Dekker, Michael Franke, Jeroen Groenendijk, Robert van Rooij, Katrin Schulz, and Marjan Veldhuisen.
