The results of the project are delivered in two parts:

  1. The core wordnets
  2. Top-down extensions of the core

The core wordnets contain the most important meanings and their semantic environment. They are built from a set of 1024 Base Concepts, which is used by all the partners as a starting point. The cores are designed in such a way that the meanings of more specific meanings will depend on them. These Base Concepts have been classified using a top-ontology of 63 semantic distinctions to get a common framework for encoding the individual wordnets.  Click here to see an overview picture how the vocabularies are built up from this set.
