The Ninth Amsterdam Colloquium
December 14---17, 1993
The 1993 edition of the Amsterdam Colloquium is the ninth in a series
which started in 1976. Originally an initiative of the Department of
Philosophy, the colloquium is now organized by the Institute for
Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC), in which the Departments of
Mathematics and Computer Science, the Department of Philosophy and the
Department of Computational Linguistics of the University of Amsterdam
cooperate.
Organization
For the organization of the Ninth Amsterdam Colloquium additional
financial support was eceived from the Royal Dutch Academy of Science
(KNAW), the Esprit Basic Research Project 6852 Dyana, the
European Association for Logic, Language and Information (FoLLI), and
the Faculty of Arts, which is gratefully acknowledged. The organizing
